Occupy Consortium

Hello from Michigan!

I’m Jeff Liebmann, minister of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship here in Midland. Our Occupy the Tri group serves Midland, Bay City and Saginaw. We don’t have an occupation site, so we currently house the library in my church, where many of the General Assemblies are held. I’m a lifelong book collector, but have zero experience as a librarian. But, I’m having a blast assembling our Peoples Library, particularly finding all of the free online books and documentaries relevant to OWS. I’m excited to connect to others committed to the free exchange of information and access to education.

Welcome to the virtual home of the Occupy Library Consortium. It is our intention to create a space for Occupy Libraries to share resources, information and best practices as well as strategize for future collaboration.

Consortium: an agreement, combination or group (as of companies) formed to undertake an enterprise beyond the resources of any one member.
